No one who evaluates actual facts and evidence would believe that conspiratorial fantasy. Judging by reality, the president is essentially a centrist who has been governing from the center-right.

Riiiight.

Perhaps you have missed the fact that so many of us actual progressives have been quite disappointed in his tendency to give in to -- and compromise too easily with -- the crazy right-wingers in Congress, while willingly abandoning good liberal causes. I suppose it's not surprising that you missed that, given your propensity to wallow in the seedy on-line world of Obama hate porn. That must severely skew reality for you.

Just a few examples:
- He gave up on a more efficient, single-payer health care system before the debate even started, opting instead to push the Dole/Romney-style solution that we are stuck with now.

- After an initial minor effort, he immediately abandoned the concept of using government spending to stimulate the economy and create jobs in a terrible economic crisis. Instead, he adopted the language and actions of austerity, agreeing to cutting spending (and federal employees) to address the imagined boogyman of deficits, making the economy worse.

- He continued, and even escalated, Bush's arrogant path of foreign interference, sending ever more armed drones to bomb people in sovereign countries with whom we are not at war, creating even more hatred of America in Muslim countries such as Pakistan.

Go ahead and compare the president to a real socialist, such as Bernie Sanders, and you see a very different kind of person. Other than things like gay rights (support for which is now very much mainstream), he's acting mostly center-right, as I said.
