Longform is a site that acts as a clearing house for great magazine articles, some very old, some new on an eclectic range of subject matter. A lot of times I'll use the the (free) app readability.com to download articles to my cell phone for reading on my daily bus commute.
Just finished reading Marie Brenner's excellent Vanity Fair article that served as the basis for The Inside Job, the story of Jefferey Wigand, the Brown & Williamson tobacco whistle blower. Fascinating article.
