Watching a conservative manipulate people into signing petitions to repeal the Bill of Rights is mildly entertaining. You have to be pretty dumb to sign such a petition, but not as dumb as the few who don't recognize it's a joke.

There's a whole genre of these kind of videos that have sprung up on youtube. The average American is astoundingly ignorant and easily led to all manner of dubious viewpoints. And because of that, it turns out that it is very easy to do man on the street political interviews like you are doing an old "Jaywalking" skit. You can get a bunch of people to sign or say pretty much anything. So partisans from both sides do this as a way of feeling superior and mocking their enemies for being idiots seemingly oblivious to the fact that the other side can and very much is doing the same thing with their tribe.

Outside of that, if you word questions without referencing the bill of rights, you can get majority opposition to every significant bill of rights clause from polling of the general population. You see polls coming out every few years showing this. It turns out the bill of rights isn't very popular. Radley Balko was riffing on this recently here:

He was referring to a stunt where Mel Watt got congress to vote down the language of the 4th amendment by a margin of 3 to 1. But, speaking of the first amendment, he later references a poll indicating the majority of Republicans favor making Christianity the official state religion. And that's not some anecdotal, edited clip of people saying ridiculous things. That's the majority of the party.
