Obama's DOJ: Another Brick In The Wall

Post by _bcspace »

The U.S. Department of Justice has revealed in a court filing it agrees with the philosophy of the German government that bureaucrats can punish homeschooling parents.

And the agency explained parental rights to keep their children free from instruction that violates their faith essentially are negligible when the government’s goal is an “open society.”

The arguments were made in a pleading before the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that encourages the judges to send a German homeschooling family, the Romeikes, back to Germany where members likely would face persecution.

“The goal in Germany is for an ‘open, pluralistic society,’” wrote the government’s pleading, signed by Senior Litigation Counsel Robert N. Markle in Washington. So, he said, there is a law requiring attendance by all at government schools and punishment is levied against anyone failing to comply, whether they are truant or have religious objections to the indoctrination at the public schools.

Dear BCSpace,

This topic has already been covered from another Thread here.
Here is what Analytics Posted from that thread:

Here are some more facts.

These people are German citizens. As such, they are totally free to immigrate to any country the the European Union. If they really want to home school their kids, they are totally free to immigrate to Switzerland, Austria, England, or any other E.U. country that permits it.

Rather than move to someplace in the E.U., they chose to travel to the United States on tourist visas and seek asylum, even though their grounds for being granted asylum for this are shakey at best. The question is why did they come here?

The reason why they came to the United States is because the group “Home School Legal Defense Association” (HSLDA) advised them to. The HSLDA is in the business of providing legal defense to home schoolers. Their business model is one of pre-paid legal services—if you home school your kids and you are afraid that the government is going to take away your kids and throw you in jail for doing so, join the HSLDA, and they’ll provide you with legal defense.

In order for this business model to work, people need to be afraid that the government is out to get you if you home school. They need scared parents. A great way to do that—and get publicity—is to give terrible legal advice to a German family that wants to homeschool. Rather than telling them to simply move to Austria which is close, speaks the same language, allows homeschooling, and is easy for Germans to immigrate to, they give them the awful advice to come to the U.S.A. on tourist visas, and then seek political asylum on the incredibly weak grounds that their desire to homeschool in Germany constitutes grounds for asylum in the U.S.

So why did they give them this awful advice? Was it to get publicity? Was it to scare home schoolers into thinking they need to join the HSLDA in order to avoid being deported to Germany and thrown in jail? In either case, they are pawns in a maneuver that is being orchestrated for the political gain of the HSLDA.

Every now and then Analytics displays his authoritarian/totalitarian street cred in this way, and leaves no doubt as to his true, deeply rooted views of human beings, their relationship to the state, and the proper role and scope of the state in human affairs.

One notices immediately that it never crosses Analytics' mind the, maybe, just maybe, a legitimate government in an ostensibly free society has no business telling parents where and how they can educate their children so long as a body of core subjects (reading, writing, science, math, primarily) are taught and students can demonstrate competency in those subjects.

What really bothers the Ruling Class in Germany and also in North America is that people are able to opt out of the progressive public ed kulturkampf (which has begun to permeate Western public education, not just in the states) at all and allow their own children (whom the ruling intelligentsia understands belongs to the state, not to an independent nuclear family system) the relentless leftist indoctrination (and intellectual fluffiness) saturating government education and emanating from UNESCO and numerous private agencies, non-profit groups, NGOs, foundations, the Department of Education, the Teacher's Unions (the most recent federal government controlled grab for control coming in the name of what is now known as "common core" state standards) and, most egregiously from the practical epicenter of this movement, the teacher's colleges, to turn the final screw in the transformation of public education from anything resembling actual education in a free society (save of the Beta/Gamma vo-tech kind) to a fully-blossomed ideological indoctrination/psychological conditioning process that will produce the intellectually flaccid, unimaginative, pliable, docile, ideologically uniform "global citizen" who's heads dance, not with sugar plums, but with visions of "sustainability," equality of income distribution, suspicion and resentment of the individual qua individual; hostility to private property rights, suspicion and hostility towards any sign of unique individual excellence or achievement outside of the collective; herd/collective action and herd/collective rights and immunities; diversity/multiculturalist tribalism, neo-pantheist/collectivist earth religion/nature worship replacing traditional Judeo-Christian et al religious beliefs; collective responsibility/guilt motif on a national and global scale; and a "common good"/organic unity ethos replacing ideals of individual liberty, sovereignty, and "unalienable" rights.

Most of this points us, as one would expect, back to the ideas of Uncle Karl and various eclectic modifications of his of thought, and most particularly those of the Frankfurt School and its its overarching template of "critical theory" (and most aggressively, much of contemporary environmentalism) infused deeply throughout the American public education system in various guises and forms, among the most prominent being Common Core, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Education for All, Outcomes Based Education/Transformational Outcomes Based Education (OBE) Quality Learning, Soft Skills, Cyberlearning, Digital Learning, Systems Thinking, Positive School Climate, Quality Learning, Mastery Learning, Deep Learning, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), various initiatives, including a number of the above generated around the UN Millennium Development Goals, "competencies," Career Ready Practices, and the pervasive "critical thinking" which, in ed-speak and within the teacher's colleges, has nothing to do with the traditional understanding of this term.

Analytics is a very typical kind of leftist intellectual who, as the populace flees to one window, slams is shut, and then as they go for a door, bars it tight. As they go from window to window, and door to door, seeking freedom and escape from tyranny, he bars, locks, and seals all exits. Then he says, "Well, then, go somewhere else...if you can."

History shows very nicely that, once people such as this actually attain real power, claims like "OK, if you don't like it, move to Austria" are nothing more than breath moving air. In reality, at some point, you will have to "show your papers" to those who decide whether or not you can opt out, and even then, Austria - and everywhere else - will all have basically the same system of indoctrination controlled and mediated by the same kinds of people holding the same ideological vision of the world and the same concepts of the ants beneath their feet who they have been called and ordained to redeem in the name of a "better world."

Maybe that hasn't crossed my mind, but maybe it has. In either case, how would you know? That is, after all, a different topic.

The topic of this thread is about the hypocrisy of the right wing's tools who are upset at the Obama administration for enforcing our immigration laws.

The reason they are being kicked out of the country is clearly expressed by a conservative panel of the conservative 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in their unanimous ruling:

The question is not whether Germany’s policy violates the American Constitution, whether it violates the parameters of an international treaty or whether Germany’s law is a good idea. It is whether the Romeikes have established the prerequisites of an asylum claim.

This family is a tool, brought to America for literally no other reason than to be a pawn in America's culture war. The government is enforcing our immigration laws, and right on cue, the right-wing is enraged. It's comforting to see you guys follow your script so well.
