Corned Beef!

Post by _Ceeboo »

Hello friends!

Do you love corned beef?
Do you want to impress your spouse, parents, neighbors, children or LDS Stake President?

Ceeboo is here to help!

Had my parents and my FIL over last week for this gem. It was outstanding!

Here is what you will need:

Corned beef (I used a 5+ pound flat cut)
Garlic
Onion
Dutch Oven
Coleslaw
Swiss cheese
Russian dressing
A good rye bread

On high heat apply Kitchen Bouquet to corned beef, sear corned beef on all sides (about 2-3 minutes each side)
Place corned beef in Dutch Oven fat side up.
Throw out the seasoning packet that comes with the beef.
Cover with entire garlic clove (minced) and sweet onion (sliced).
put 1/8 cup water in bottom of DO (Yes only 1/8 cup)
Cover and cook in over at 225 degrees for 7-8 hours.

Remove from oven (Fat should come off extremely easy from top at this point). Cut thinly across grain.

Pile enormous load (I'm talking 3 inches high enormous) of this tender and mouth watering heavenly beef on grilled rye. Add Swiss cheese, coleslaw and Russian dressing.

Don't forget to throw a good Jewish dill on the plate and have plenty of napkins available.

Enjoy!

Peace,
Ceeboo

Sounds very good!

I will give it a try.

We just don't get enough recipes on this board.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

As a faithful Indian (pillar of the society) (brahmin: an individual belonging to the Hindu technicians class I claim to move this thread to Nirvana.

The slaughter of cattle is prohibited and their meat is taboo.

by the way (heartfelt) using garlic and onion makes it more interesting.
