10 Feet of Global Sea Level Rise Is Now Guaranteed

At least 10 feet of sea level rise is now guaranteed worldwide; it's all but inevitable, a done deal. An ice sheet two miles thick has collapsed in West Antarctica—glaciologists have been dreading this moment for decades, though in recent years, it was more of a question of when than if—and there is nothing that can stop it from melting now.
NASA scientists say so, glaciologists say so, researchers who've spent their entire careers studying the slow and increasingly inevitable melt of our planet's permanent ice stores say so. They say so in two new studies debuting this week; one in Science and one in Geophysical Research Letters.
Okay, so the melt in on the move. Can it keep pace with the Supreme Court allowing Congressional vote buying? Will it testify of Birchite principles or simply soak everything thing in like Uranus? Time will tell.
The earth in history has been FAR warmer than it is now, and Ice formations survived. Greenland used to be GREEN, and the earth was just fine.
The rediculous thing about the liberal mind, is they completely ignore the fact that during the periods (starting about 15 years ago) that the earth had a warming period, it was a period in which the SUN had major activity, and during the periods in which it has gotten "cooler", i.e. the last 5 years, the SUN has been fairly INACTIVE..... The earth is actually going through a cooling period, not Wargming at all. While it's true some areas are warming, and thus there is some "melting", other areas have in fact gotten COLDER.
Man hasn't done SQUAT to cause any sort of "Global Warming" or the new cop-out changing the goal posts "Climate Change" to falsely cover all their bases no matter what the weather does, because bottom line, to them weather changes are caused by man. Which brings us to the other liberal lie. That is that the Carbon gases are "traping" things, thus causing the earth to get warmer. Problem is, that the earth has been through much worse periods of carbon emissions, not caused by man by the way, and yet the earth florished and was warmer and green, and ALSO went through Ice Ages.
This statement sums it up......
Greenpeace Co-Founder Tells U.S. Senate: Earth’s Geologic History ‘fundamentally contradicts’ CO2 Climate Fears: ‘We had both higher temps and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today’
Selected Highlights of Dr. Patrick Moore’s Feb. 25, 2014 testimony before the U.S. Senate Environment & Public Works Committee: 'There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years.'
'Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species...It is “extremely likely” that a warmer temperature than today’s would be far better than a cooler one.'
Earth’s Geologic History Fails CO2 Fears: ‘The fact that we had both higher temperatures and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today fundamentally contradicts the certainty that human-caused CO2 emissions are the main cause of global warming...When modern life evolved over 500 million years ago, CO2 was more than 10 times higher than today, yet life flourished at this time. Then an Ice Age occurred 450 million years ago when CO2 was 10 times higher than today.'

Scientists who probed 2 km (1.2 mi) through a Greenland glacier to recover the some of the oldest plant DNA on record said that the planet was far warmer hundreds of thousands of years ago than is generally believed. DNA of trees, plants, and insects including butterflies and spiders from beneath the southern Greenland glacier was estimated to date to 450,000 to 900,000 years ago, according to the remnants retrieved from this long-vanished boreal forest. That view contrasts sharply with the prevailing one that a lush forest of this kind could not have existed in Greenland any later than 2.4 million years ago. These DNA samples suggest that the temperature probably reached 10 °C (50 °F) in the summer and −17 °C (1.4 °F) in the winter. They also indicate that during the last interglacial period, 130,000–116,000 years ago, when local temperatures were on average 5 °C (9 °F) higher than now, the glaciers on Greenland did not completely melt away.
ldsfaqs, the earth in history may very well have been FAR warmer than it is now, and ice formations may very well have survived. However, the earth has not been FAR warmer during the era that human habitation has been found on the planet - which your religion teaches started around 4,000 BCE. Nor has the the planet been warmed or cooled in it's history by anything other than natural biological and physiological processes. Greenland didn't have cars or factories before Adam, right? How well does humanity fair in the middle of the Sahara desert?
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)

Is this a joke? I am sorry... English is only my third language.
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei
It is a paradox to me that the fundamentalist religious right is rejecting the doomsday scenario predicted by climate scientists. Isn't apocalyptic thinking part of the belief system of most of the Judaeo-Christian religions?
Problems with auto-correct: In Helaman 6:39, we see the Badmintons, so similar to Skousenite Mormons, taking over the government and abusing the rights of many.

The intelligence community takes it seriously, and it’s translated into action.”
I've read articles about rivers taking rise in Himalaya ... and I didn't care.

Yeah, but it's supposed to be death by fire, not water. The global flood thing... been there, done that.
I say that like I know how they think, yet how they think (or perhaps more appropriately, whether they think) is a complete mystery to me.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
ldsfaqs' definition of "liberal" apparently is "anyone who disagrees with him on anything whatsoever." That may also be how he defines "brain dead."
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
