I am making tacos for dinner

Started off this am with a 5lbs chuck roast. Been slow cooking it in a tomato, onion, garlic, an anjo/jelepeno slurry(put a half tablespoon of cocoa powder in along with about four limes). Stuff is melting apart, so it's off to rest while the tortillas warm up. Some fresh pico and cilantro and I've the most baller tacos ever.

Say no to Taco Tuesday. Everyday is Taco Day!

Are you doing it in an actual slow cooker or regular stove top?

Have you ever tried it in an Instagram Pot? We've done roasts and such in that. Comes out pretty darn tender. I don't use it myself though. It sounds like you're a purist. I bet your house smells divine!

Not so much a purist, it's the cut of meat I used. Chuck's gotta have time to cook and let everything get tender. Could do it faster, but then I might as well done carne asada and saved the effort.

So you tease us with the OP, then make a few more posts to tease us more - then you don't even have the common courtesy to let us know how the tacos turned out?

Ridiculous!

Sorry, last night we were to busy eating to comment. Those tacos we're outstanding, only to be topped by the Mexican Taco Truck that sometimes sets up around here.

Nice!

As someone who really enjoys cooking (Huge fan of the low and slow thing), I love when a plan comes together like yours apparently did.

I am currently considering the purchase of an electric smoker (pellet wood chips/auger variety) so if I make the move, I will be sure to report my successes and failures with you.

Bro, depending on the brand, you won't be disappointed. Slow we cooking or smoking meat is the way.
