For better, or worse, my home is likely the best (I'll PM you). I live in the ghetto, have a big dog, and not much worth stealing  ... My work wouldn't mind, but I don't feel comfortable telling people my employer (don't need some nutter trying to mess with my paycheck). And, since we're completely grassroots, we don't exactly have a location other than the storage space that has been so generously donated to us.

What about underwear (those would definitely be new)?

Yes. Really, anything can be used. Socks right now are the thing we always seem to run out of quickly. But, we can use just about anything – including small sized toiletries (lotion, soap, deodorant, shaving cream, toothpaste, etc). The only thing we aren’t hurting for right now is food as we have been overwhelmed by the generosity and success of weekly food rescues (we were able to give some families a couple pounds of swordfish last week -- how freakin' awesome is that!?!).

As a side note, there are now 9 Starbucks locations that have allowed us to place donation boxes, which is pretty awesome.

It is one of the beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself .

Winter in Las Vegas is basically like a normal "Fall" places that have normal seasons, so, don't think he would need hats, unless maybe "bill" type hats that block sun etc.

Not a huge demand for them, but we would definitely find someone who could use them. Children's sizes might end up being more important/useful.

There are usually a few days during the winter when I will use one (when that dry desert wind blows, it can make it feel a whole lot colder on your noggin and ears). December through February, the lows average in the 30's-40's. Also, I've been told that the tunnels under the city get a bit colder than above ground, and I imagine under the various bridges along the Vegas wash probably get some additional cold from the wind across the water.

I would just like to express just how incredibly much I love all of you.

The number of PMs I’ve received… I don’t even know what to say. Taking your time and money, to send stuff to a guy you’ve never met, to help out people in a city you don’t live in. I wish I could squeeze the ever-lovin’ bajeesus outta each of you.

The founder of this little organization that you are all so generously giving to, was homeless for quite some time. After the economic downturn, he lost his business, and everything else. He slept in public restrooms, and ate out of dumpsters. One day, luck brought him and a former employer into each other’s paths. The former employer gave him a place to sleep, and a temporary job.

The very next Monday, he went downtown, with a pot of spaghetti, and fed 30 less fortunate individuals. After it was done, his first thought was “I wonder how many I can feed with two pots?” From there, through Facebook, and existing networks of likeminded people, we are what we are now.

At this very moment, I have two bags of clothes (adult, and teenager), and a massive double stroller in my car, and a plethora of packages on their way from all across the US (and even one from another country).

Your hearts are beautiful. You inspire me, motivate me, and fill me with immense hope.

Thank you.

I think you're being controlled by the sock charity lobby. That makes you a sock puppet.

Who are you really?!
