Republican describes Bad Ideas of His Party

Post by _moksha »

Republican Governor John Kasich described the insanity that has happened to the Republican Presidential Candidates and via the conservative movement.

Kasich is pre-Tea Party. The GOP is battling itself over its identity. The Democrats need to do this too, in my opinion. They struggle with identity politics vs the old labor/establishment coalitions.

Most of the offensive and factually wrong statements came from CNBC's moderators last night.

That said, if Paul Ryan pushes his unlimited debt ceiling through, the Republican party could split in civil war. This may not be a bad thing. Many conservatives are finally starting to wake up make their voices heard again.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

I think you have that backwards, Ajax. Almost every time a candidate told a moderator he was wrong about something last night, the candidate was wrong. These guys think they can whine about media bias in order to get away with telling porkies.

I could see them being very unhappy. Not because it is a bad thing, but because they lose the ability top hold everyone hostage to a government shut down. I hate that many on the right have no idea about what fiscal conservationism is about. It's not really about always lowering taxes. The budget won't be balanced by lowering taxes, or even cutting things to the bone. Of course if you are on the far right you won't want any cuts to military spending, and yet some tea party people make sure the military gets stuff they don't want or need.

I think Dick Armey was instrumental in the creation of the Tea Party. Why didn't they call themselves the "Dick Army"?
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.
