Thanksgiving!

Post by _Ceeboo »

To all of my MDB friends - and MDB enemies - and MDB lurkers

I wish each and every one of you - and yours - a fantastic Turkey-Day!

May it be filled with good eats, lots of laughter, and good company!

Peace,
Ceeboo

I'm thankful I'm not a turkey.

Thanks, Ceeboo, and the same to you and your family.

My wife and I are in the US for a few months, and will be spending Thanksgiving day with family in Utah.

Awesome health. Closing on an awesome house on a huge damned lot (thanks Brigham Young!). I'm retired. Adopting a rescue bulldog and a damned stupid cat. My wife is hot. Hrm... What else... Oh, my oldest is in Boot Camp and has a great follow-on job. My youngest in moving in with me to get ready for her Boot Camp next year. My in-laws like me! Oh, I'm done paying my ex-sloth $$$ FOREVER.

crap, man. This is a great year! All this good crap happening, and I'm an apostate! Huh! Go figure!!

Military Boot Camp?

If yes, I thank them both for their service!

Happy Thanksgiving.

She needs a YEAR to get ready for Boot Camp? What is she joining, the Spetsnaz Spartan Delta Force Green Beret Ranger SEALs?

Ha. I wish!

Under her current situation she isn't getting the attention, support, and mentoring she'll need to transition to adulthood with basic life skills. I have ~7 months help her make the transition smoothly.

Anyway. She wants to train up for some 5 and 10k's, eat right, and get her driver's license (she's 17). Dad's gonna make it happen.
