In the meantime, local GOP lawmakers have no problem deflecting blame onto.... Planned Parenthood!
Colorado GOP lawmaker: Planned Parenthood is the ‘real culprit’ in the shooting
Because you see, violence begets violence, and since all the violence started inside the clinic, it is understandable that people would start shooting up the place.

1. So, if we hold that person accountable - why does motive matter? since the concession by the OP and title of this thread is that it was "terrorism".
Motive always matters in our court system.
2. Given the obvious mental illness circumstance(s) of the alleged attacker, why are you discussing every other cursory topic?
No idea what you are talking about.

Planned Parenthood shooter: "I am guilty ... a warrior for the babies"
Robert Dear Jr. declares his guilt in shooting at Colorado Springs clinic as 179 charges are announced
COLORADO SPRINGS — El Paso County prosecutors on Wednesday announced 179 charges against the man accused of killing three people and injuring 12 others at a Planned Parenthood clinic.
Robert Lewis Dear Jr., 57, appeared in El Paso County District Court. He was arrested Nov. 27 after a standoff that lasted more than five hours at the clinic in Colorado Springs.
The lone suspect has since been held without bond in the El Paso County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Dear appeared with public defender Dan King. King was one of the attorneys who represented Aurora theater shooter James Holmes.
During the hearing, Dear declared that he is guilty.
"I am guilty, there's no trial. I am a warrior for the babies," he told the court.
Dear repeatedly interrupted King as the lawyer tried to discuss matters with the judge.
Dear shouted out "Protect the babies!" and "I will not meet with him again," apparently referring to King.
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs police Officer Garrett Swasey was killed after he responded to a call for help from the clinic. Swasey, a husband and father of two, was one of the first officers to arrive on scene.
Ke'Arre Stewart, 29, and Jennifer Markovsky, 35, also were killed. Both had accompanied friends to the clinic.
Twelve people were injured, nine of those by gunfire. Five of those injured by gunfire were law enforcement officers; all of them have been released from the hospital and are recovering, officials said Tuesday night.
Swasey's wife, Rachel Swasey, was in the courtroom Wednesday. Dear did not look in her direction.
During the proceedings, the judge issued a gag order for law enforcement and the parties involved. As the judge and attorneys were discussing who was included in the gag order, Dear interrupted.
"The babies that were supposed to be aborted that day, could you add them to that list?" he said.
King requested that the judge order prompt discovery in the case so the defense team can learn "the depth of Mr. Dear's mental illness."
Dear interrupted, "You're not my lawyer."
King told the judge the sharing of evidence was vital. "It's rather ironic that prosecutors have not disclosed one piece of evidence," he started.
Dear interrupted, "You're trying to silence me."
King told the judge "I think the problem is obvious, your honor."
After a brief recess, the hearing was continued. A status hearing was set for Dec. 23 at 1:30 p.m.
The judge spoke to Dear and advised him of his right to a preliminary hearing within 35 days.
Dear told the the judge, "Planned Parenthood and my lawyer are in cahoots because they don't want the truth out."
King told the judge he wasn't confident that his client was competent to make a choice about his legal rights.
Dear interrupted, saying, "I'm competent."
He went on, "I'm not going to agree to mental health evaluations so they can't put me on psychotropic drugs so I can't talk like the Batman guy."
In previous court proceedings, Dear appeared Nov. 30 in front of 4th Judicial District Chief Judge Gilbert Martinez via a closed-circuit video.
Martinez advised Dear of his rights and assigned the Colorado Public Defender's office to represent him.
District Attorney Dan May said his office would be prepared to file formal charges on Wednesday. May said under Colorado's system, he cannot answer whether his office will seek the death penalty in the case.
Once prosecutors file formal charges, a preliminary hearing will be set, which likely will be followed by an arraignment. During the arraignment — which is likely months away — Dear will enter a plea.
Prosecutors will have 63 days after Dear enters a plea to decide whether to seek the death penalty.

So what do we do about these home-grown, self-radicalizing fundamentalist Christians? Do we need to identify and counteract their organizations and financing, point out and discredit the sources that put out disinformation, and maybe start a database of fundamentalist Christian ministers?

That article is missing pieces. Locally, they reported that he was seen at a nearby shopping center asking for directions to PP. That might explain a conversation that a family member had with a SWAT team member. I'm still not seeing anything more about the first police transmissions from the scene when the officer said he was at the Soopers (King Soopers grocery store) and then said "officer down"--likely Officer Swasey, that were aired that evening on local television. I've seen no more mention of that at all.
I'd like to know why he was allegedly shooting random people in the King Soopers parking lot, if his intended target was PP. That makes no sense to me. The fact that, once inside the PP building, he hurt no staff members or patients.
We'll have to wait for trial, I suppose, until more details are made public. And, even then, we won't know the whole truth. The attorney's will argue over what is/is not admissible as evidence and what we, the public, get in the end is a manipulated version of the truth.
by the way, his attorney was also public defender for James Holmes.
Personally, I think the guy's a nutter, but hopefully not so much of a nutter that he will be able to claim mental illness as a mitigating factor. What he did makes no sense at all. He claims he is a warrior for the babies.
And so what? He randomly shoots three parents of young children?
What has shooting Officer Swasey and two civilians got to do with PP?
If he wanted to target PP, why didn't he just slip into the building and go at it instead of shooting random people outside the building in parking lots?
