This is a 7 minute video with audio from several press conferences during the early 80s Reagan administration where a member of the press asks what is being done about AIDS.
It is so sad to hear the laughter and homophobic answers to the questions. It's also interesting when you recall the recent response to the Ebola outbreak. There just seems to be no concern that hundreds...and then thousands of people are dying. Why? Because they are "fairies." The sentiment seemed to be that only a gay person would even ask a question about AIDS. Or worse, only a gay person with AIDS would care about it.

More seriously Reagan was a shill for his masters in the Movement Conservative agenda. AIDS was and is a tragic disease. Hopefully as promising drugs are coming onto the market this dreadful disease will be eliminated once and for all.
