Favorite Net News Sources? (Cell Phone is a Plus)

Post by _MeDotOrg »

I'm a news and politics junkie.

I like to read, not watch videos. I like sites that load fast, and I like sites that go behind the initial story. I also spend almost 2 hours a day on public transit, so cell phone sites are a definite plus.

Suggestions?
"The great problem of any civilization is how to rejuvenate itself without rebarbarization."
- Will Durant
"We've kept more promises than we've even made"
- Donald Trump
"Of what meaning is the world without mind? The question cannot exist."
- Edwin Land

I am 70.
I can read --- videos and podcasts are for illiterates.
I spend only 1.5 hours a day on public transit, during them I read printed books.
Cell phone sites are/were a definite plus charge. I use them only at home, and at other free wifi areas.

You may call me conservative, which I am not. I am only poor.

This is a bit like Philip K Dick dropping in to let us know he has time to kill and could anyone recommend some good short science fiction?

Google News is one of my favorites. It's pretty straight forward and just links you to the original news source.

Huffington Post has a lot of content, but tends to make you suffer through too many ads.

If you have an interest in history, I love this little site:

http://www.archaeologica.org/NewsPage.htm

Archeologica compiles news stories about historical matters from around the world. It updates every day or so
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.
