You, sir, are a Marxist.
BUZZ WRONG.....!
There is no "from" and "to" in my system. Socialism/Communism/Marxism whatever is take and give. My system is ENTIRELY individual production based, and the only give and take is to each other in the form of good and services, not from some centralized entity a.k.a. government. The "credits" don't come from anyone but ones OWN production. That's capitalism. There are also no taxes.... that's the most pure capitalism.
You, sir, are a Marxist.
I've read Marx, you haven't. Take a look at the comment following your reply to the above statement and try again.

He relies upon Youtube for sources, do you really think he reads anything substantial, let alone something as daunting as Das Kapital?
I like reading challenging things. I read War and Peace for fun. James Joyce and Plato were a challenge.
Das Kapital is like the Matterhorn of books.
He isn't even ready for Roald Dhal (my favorite author as a child, by the way).

Me, I couldn't get a real job given my health of late, but if it was required that I work, there are plenty of businesses that could easily use me for a couple hours a day according to the amount I'm able to physically work, such as a computer job, similar. Like I'm doing now. I can function enough to at least do things on the computer a lot through the day, so being a capable skilled person, businesses would be required to be more open and allow me to work as I'm able.
Please explain why the free market is incapable of meeting your employment needs, and how support of government-issued credits as a substitute for the present system is in alignment with your supposedly conservative sensibilities.
by the way, I'll get to responding to some of the posts as I can, cause this is a good subject and we are actually having a discussion (well some are anyway). Thanks especially to "Analytics" for positive contribution, even though questioning, etc.

His short stories for adults aren't too shabby either.

Not necessarily. There also needs to be unlimited resources of all types including unlimited knowledge in how to use them. Where Analytics Star Trek thesis falls apart is that we don't have unlimited knowledge, and the Star Trek model requires a dictator controlling the assignment of resources. Whether some are unhappy with that level of control is irrelevant in that model. I think that it is incumbent on government to promote equal access to opportunity to succeed or fail on our own efforts, and for those few individuals unable to care for themselves provide for that care. As a personal example I know how cars work, but would have made a terrible car mechanic. I did just fine as a Psychiatric Social Worker. I leave the car repairs to my son the licensed car mechanic.
