Your Drunk Neighbor: Donald Trump (Really - check this out!)

Holy fuckballs. I thought I was going to have a heart attack, I was laughing so hard. Seriously, that was fantastic. I have to watch it again, because I'm sure I missed some.

What's so funny is I've always felt this way about the guy. He's all overblown ego masking (not very well) huge deficiencies underneath. I'm stunned he's been this popular this long.

Donald Trump Thinks He Can Call Bill Gates To Shut Down The Internet

In the same speech in which he pitched a xenophobic plan to ban all Muslim immigration to the United States, overripe holiday persimmon Donald Trump also introduced another unhinged plans for fighting terrorism: “closing [the] Internet up.” ISIS is recruiting there, you know. Might as well turn the damn thing off and call it a day.

“We’re losing a lot of people because of the internet. And we have to do something,” Trump said.

Fortunately, Trump knows exactly who can protect the American people from the internet: his fellow billionaire, software pioneer Bill Gates. Who, unbeknownst to many, is also a counterterrorism expert and controls the switch that turns the internet on and off, I guess?

“We have to go see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what’s happening. We have to talk to them. Maybe in certain areas, closing that internet up in some way.”

But what about free speech, you ask? Wasn’t the internet supposed to be the most democratic of all technologies? Don’t we (kinda, sorta) have net neutrality? These are foolish questions from the mouth of a fool, sayeth the Donald.

“Somebody will say, 'Oh, freedom of speech, freedom of speech.' These are foolish people, we have a lot of foolish people. We've got to maybe do something with the internet because they're recruiting by the thousands . . .”

Maybe he’s right. Just burn it all down. It’s mostly coverage of the latest mile markers on Donald Trump’s casual jog toward fascism, anyway.

To be fair, MissTish, Hillary Clinton basically is proposing the same thing.

Some conspiracy theorists do think he's a Hilary plant, perhaps they're onto something

In all seriousness though, what is happening to the US when we have 2 major contenders arguing against free speech?

Man, it sure feels that way (not so much a Hillary plant; just Trump doing what he can to screw over the party).

I think economic unrest is having far reaching effects on the electorate. Anxiety is high. I think this free speech thing is a symptom of bigger issues.

Plus, let's face it; Hillary is a 20th century Repub in pantsuit clothing.

While I certainly didn't agree with everything Republican Eisenhower did as President he was a vastly better President than any of this crop of Republican hopefuls. While I lean Green I'll take Berny over Hilary, and Hilary over any Republican wanna be. Hell I'd take Richard Nixon over any of today's Republicans, and he belonged under the jail.

You have to admit in this Trump is a genius. 2/3rds of Republicans support banning muslims. And he just got all the establishment candidates to line up against him and their base. No wonder he's at 35% support in a nation-wide poll today.

While it does seem rather silly to suggest that Trump is not a genius concerning things like business, investments and wealth management - it is my personal opinion that he is not a genius concerning politics. Politics is a very different animal and it seems that this is quite foreign to Trump.

I don't care what the polls are suggesting at the moment. Among a long list of things, I think that initial "reaction" is playing a significant role in what seems to be significant political Trump support.

But - it is my very strong personal opinion that his recent remarks/proposals/suggestions/opinions surrounding Muslims will and has effectively ended his presidential hopes. Period!

As time goes on - and once some of the dust has settled - I would be completely shocked to see Trump getting the support that he is currently getting.

I would guess that his support will start diminishing - and will continue in that downward direction - as the political season continues to move along.

Simply put - Trump ended Trump's run.
In my mind - There is no doubt about that.

Peace,
Ceeboo

Obviously you aren't a Republican Ceeboo. I think if he continues to say this, he'll lock up the Republican nomination. He's killing the other Republican candidates right now and there is a reason for that.
