I read the article, faqs. I think you are misunderstanding my point. That the author would single out marines as an "OMG! Even THEY might not be allowed to buy a gun!" example is funny. Because, you know, prior military service is a safeguard against one carrying out a terrorist act.

I got your point, it was just irrelvant. The article was about all kinds of people are on the list who shouldn't be.
It wasn't about "no Marine could ever be a terrorist". Man people!

Either way, I never said my opinion one way or another. It's interesting that you assume I did.

I am surprised that Republicans didn't want this passed. Especially someone like Trump who is so good at stereotyping entire populations based on a small percentage of criminals.

I also think the journalist used dumb examples, like honor said, acting like certain groups of people are beyond reproach.

Are there problems with the No-Fly List? Yes. Lack of uniform standards, lack of judicial appeal, far too long of a list. That being said improve the list, and still do not allow people on the No-Fly List to buy guns.
