Go back to your country of origin, then. Or are you a native American?

My ancestors gained this country in battle. That makes it my birthright. I'm not saying legal citizens aren't citizens as well. But I am no immigrant. Nobody granted citizenship to most of my ancestors. They earned it. Native Americans only have a right to citizenship inasmuch as the English victors chose to allow them. That's kind of how it's been as long as there were laws Schmo.

Earned it? You mean they took it, right?

I can't believe I just read that.

What kind of ground do think you're living on in Hungary Ludwigm? Do you think there's never been a war there? If your ancestors didn't win some of those you wouldn't be sitting there right now.

What piece of land, sea, or airspace was not gained ultimately through conquest or forceful theft by the sovereign? I used the words earned it because when the English settled America, they did so knowing they would first have to get rid of the Indians and secondly there was no infrastructure. They had to build all that. Immigrants today come from an undeveloped country to take advantage of the benefits of a country that has already been developed for them.

I'm sorry, ajax18, but your comments here regarding Native Americans simply turn my stomach.

Ldsfaqs, Interesting sentiments from a continent who's ancestry is almost 100% immigrant.
Will you be sending the Liberty Statue back to France?

Too bad for you. The new way of gaining land, sea or air is through taking part in what is already there. You should be happy and thankful that the Mexican immigrants have chosen to spare your life.

My part of the country was 'settled' by the Dutch and Walloons. They created the first white infastructure here. The English settled here later, damn limey illegal immigrants coming in and taking advantage of the benefits of something that had already been developed.

I believe many areas of this country were settled by those swarthy Spanish and frog eating French as well.

Manhattan Island.

So if you have a piece of land I think should be developed differently than you do. I get to take it from you through force of arms?
