Conservatives believe in "conserving".... it's in our name.

Building codes for new housing and major remodels etc. for example are not in any for any sort of "fascism".
Everything I propose does not ban things, does not force things at the expense of others, etc.

It actually does force things at the expense of others; more to the point of 'conservatism' it also forces the homeowner to spend on power sources or particular technology that they may not otherwise decide to spend on otherwise. The freedom to not be forced into buying any particular thing is a hallmark of conservative ideology. It's arguably why conservatives hate the PPACA's individual mandate and drives their argument against 'climate change', on the basis that the government will supposedly enact regulations in the name of climate change mitigation that might force them to do any or all of the things that you are proposing here. In short, you could not demonstrate yourself to be any less a conservative than to suggest just what you have in this thread.

It's simply dealing with the demands of modern society, and in the spirit of freedom and self sufficiency, which IS also conservatism.

Not having to rely on government in the form of a Power company etc. is part of conservative values.
I'm a conservative..... I know what we believe and would support. You liberals certain don't. The fact that you don't see these things as conservative shows how utterly ignorant you are of conservatives and conservatism.

Sorry, faqs, but it proves no one but yourself to be ignorant of conservative ideology. But, I believe in a fair assessment by an excellent representative of the conservative crowd. Please write to Richard Lowry, editor of National Review, and ask him if your plan of forcing solar tech and recycling systems on to every homeowner represents conservative ideology. If he agrees with your plan, I'll personally drive to SLC and buy you a crown burger with a side of fries:

Look, we can all disagree on the effectiveness of solar panels, but thank goodness the citizens of Woodland were able to see through the straw man issues and get straight to the heart of the matter: Namely, solar panels suck all the energy out of the sun and stop photosynthesis.

Here's an interesting article on co-location of solar farms and vegetation. The barren appearance of land on which solar farms are sited is due to site preparation practices, which can include soil sterilization. The panels themselves don't exclude the ability to grow vegetation in a solar farm.
