We were each assigned a square and our semester project was to describe what was in our square. At first it seemed silly, but we soon realized that just about everything that goes on in our planet went on in our little square.

Mine started with identifying every plant that was in my square and continued on to every insect that inhabited or crossed over my square. Then it went on to describe any reptiles or mammals that might cross my square. Finally, it described the underlying geology (going down to the Earth's core) of my little square.

It taught me a lot about biology, but I think the most important thing it taught me was that EVERYTHING is interesting if you look hard enough.

Quasi...I've done that exact thing with preschoolers, though not in the depth that you did in high school.

In addition, I'm unaware of any country that forces citizens (or visitors) to observe the state holidays in their homes and hotel rooms.

I'm not aware any country that forces people to observe state holidays in their homes either. But we're talking about public schools.

Try celebrating Christmas in Saudi Arabia.

In the name of "inclusiveness" they actually EXCLUDE people, ideas, things, etc. in what is supposed to be a pluralistic society where ALL good of the people is celebrated and included of the people such areas represent, whether it's Christmas, Hanika, Ramadam, etc. For years and years schools have had lesson plans and activity's on the different cultures etc., so they would sing, do art, learn, etc.

You don't even care enough about diversity or inclusiveness to spell the celebrations right, so shut up.

Right on!
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

And you personally attack as usual.....
If you haven't noticed, I have a spelling problem, thus your statement is nothing more than a pure bigoted personal assault.
