Notwithstanding your obvious affection for the nautical life, in what ways does the persistent use of a distorted reality in order to maintain an uncompromising position not equate to tyranny? Reality oppressed by the inflexible rules of geometry....conformal projections are the mainstay of making geometry convenient when it naturally exists as inconvenient.
