I'm confused as to why this matters to faqs.

ldsfaqs, you claim to believe government should enact some kind of laws that will make every home green. Doing so would naturally help combat global climate change.

Yet, for some reason you rant about getting stricter on vehicle pollution and "forcing" everyone to drive an electric car. Of course this is really no different than "forcing" everyone to have a green home. And both would significantly help with climate change.

So, instead of worrying so much about why we have global climate change which is particularly devastating to third world countries, why don't you just focus on the changes we can make in the US to help fix the problem?

1. Standard ever changing "building codes" does not meet the definition of fascist regulation, especially when I'm not "banning" anything like liberal regulations do, but simply improving them. Even further, I'm not "forcing" existing homes to switch over to green tech until they have to do major remodels (thus a normal cost of remodeling) or to replace old and defective tech such as a water heater that's died, but people can still use water heaters, just as long as they are not the homes primary water heater. Again, I'm a conservative, which means I believe in basic societal laws for a good functioning society. Building codes are among such laws.

2. Actually it's considerably different. Vehicle tech has not yet caught up to the level of quality, sustainability and cost to use as the combustion engine has.
I've also said nothing against the government requiring (if need be) Motor company's to start working on the tech in question to start switching over to such tech as the tech develops, when it NATURALLY develops. So, very limited controls by the government again as a normal society I'm fine with. What I'm NOT fine with is the BANNING, the FORCED SALE of a good product like the Hummer. I'm also NOT fine with many other things liberal government has been doing to force this issue, beyond a simple "hey motor company's set up a division to start working on green tech".

So, it's considerably different what I would do and what liberals have been and would want to do.

3. OMG.... you are utterly ignorant the propaganda you've swallowed. Climate change is doing ZERO to 3rd world country's because it doesn't exist. Every country in the world experiences entirely natural and normal weather patterns. Even your so-called scientists have been forced to admit that there is no "change" in weather patterns etc. from the past. What is "devistating" to 3rd world country's is you fanatics stopping them from developing their resources because you're afraid of "adding carbon" to the environment, thus killing the 3rd world by the millions due to lack of modernity, and they can't afford "green tech". Natural resources are the "stepping stone" to modernity because it's cheaper. You need to allow country's to develop, and as they get more wealth then they are able to switch to better technology as it's naturally encoraged and especially as it develops in the 1st world to becoming more efficient and cost effective, which would then allow the developing world to switch quicker, not having to go as long as we did to switch.

Very little needs to be "changed" in the U.S. other than what I've mentioned. America is already leading the world in clean technology development, so nothing needs to be "done" other than what I've mentioned to move it along. If you further try to force things, you're going to screw things up and hurt people, hurt the economy, etc. such as the liberal bullship panecea of "carbon credits". "Natural proding" doesn't hurt people, over burdening force does. For example, if liberals could they would just shut down all coal plants right now, despite the fact that there is NOTHING to replace it yet, such as the things I've mentioned and other tech that isn't fully developed yet. That would severely effect things. Me, gentle non intrusive things like building codes, etc. encorages change, without hurting.

Auto regulation requiring to have a "Seat Belt" IS similar.
"Banning" cars, forcing company's to only build certain types of cars etc. is NOT the same..... that YOU can't see that is astounding.

During the 1950's and 60's American Television was filled with 'Weather Girls' whose qualifications were based more on mammaries than meteorology. With the advent of the Women's Liberation movement, a backlash appeared to set in, and there was a dramatic drop in the number of 'Weathergirls'.
