And again more personal attacks instead of dealing with the actual facts and truth.

Nice presentation....
I agree! That actually was a nice presentation. I was already aware of the that very interesting hypothesis, it has been around for a long time now, but I have to give Whittle credit for presenting it very well. I can't remember when I first heard it. If I recall correctly, Isaac Asimov, one of my very favorite authors, was one of those who made me aware of it in one of his excellent science fact essays. Carl Sagan and probably Neil DeGrasse Tyson have also discussed this subject. The hypothesis has a lot of scientific merit, in my opinion.
I don't know how rare double planet systems like the earth/moon system might be in the universe, but I doubt ours is the only example that exists. I have often speculated what it might have been like if the earth and moon were closer to each other in size; both had atmospheres, oceans and life, and were gravitationally locked to each other so that they rotated at the same rate so that each constantly presented only one side to the other. I have read several science fiction stories about such systems, and they present very intriguing possibilities. How would that have influenced the development of religious belief systems, let alone the development and progress of science--especially if both planets had its own sentient species that evolved independently on it?

No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I agree. This was one of your better posts, and it raised some very interesting possibilities and food for thought. It doesn't deserve to be lightly dismissed and ridiculed.

Thanks you.... Yes, Bill is actually a massively intelligent and experienced person in various things.
Ya, double planets aren't what is most rare, it's the position, distance, sizing, the fact that the moon is able to totally block the sun (seems anyway) etc.
What was also interesting is how the last 50 years or so we've been "listening" to the stars, and yet NOTHING has traveled and bounced to us that indicates any other intelligent life. How the conditions of the earth's solar system etc. created the perfect environment for life to florish and evolve.
I love good traditional science.... instead of it corrupted by politics and ideology.
