Here's what happened. I'm sitting with my morning tea and my cell phone rings. It's a call from my own number. That is to say, the number that was calling my cell phone is my cell phone number.
How could this happen?
Oh, that's easy to explain. Future You was calling you, probably to remind you about something. You should have answered to find out what you wanted to tell yourself.
Otherwise, it could be Alternate Universe You, in which case, you should not answer the phone, under any circumstances.

Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

Kinda like the universe made a personalized Murphy's Law just for me.
If Murphy works, he works overtime.

That alternate universe thing is pretty cool though, if you answer does it open a wormhole between the 2 universes? (I'm warming up for the new X-files season in January.)

Just sayin'.
But you gotta be quick. I call that "revolutionary sex" because they're minutemen.

OK, I'll admit this idea occurred to me as well. What is wrong with us?

I didn't think of this one, but I like it. It's probably also a great excuse not to answer any number of calls, since hypothetically the call could be from an alternate universe version of someone you are (by pure coincidence) trying to avoid in this universe. Sorry, crazy cousin Benny, but answering your call simply isn't worth the risk of tearing a honking great hole in the fabric of space-time. Y'all can thank me later.

It does, but be very careful with that option. The roaming charges are ridiculous.
