Why Jeb Bush is Losing

I'm sorry, but Jeb is a terrible politician. He doesn't understand his base and he doesn't have a sense of irony.

Today, Jeb's back-to-back statements were:

Just one other thing — I gotta get this off my chest — Donald Trump is a jerk!

Then he says:

You cannot insult your way to the presidency.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Four months ago I commented that Jeb Bush would never become President. I said it definitively and then EA and cinepro proceeded to mock me for having the audacity to say such things.



EA: "It's more likely that he won't win because the odds are spread thin among many candidates. So it's a safe bet to say he won't win, but he's got a decent shot."

cinepro: "That was my thought as well. With 15+ hats in the ring, saying any specific one of them won't win is a pretty safe bet."

No, he never had a realistic chance and to think otherwise is to underestimate just how far down the name "Bush" has been driven into the ground since "with."

You didn't predict Jeb would loose the nomination. You predicted he'd lose the general election. I believe this was your quote Kevin.

Oh he may win the nomination but so did Romney.

Jeb Bush took the Republican primary for granted. If he really wanted to be the nominee, it was pretty stupid of him to rub his unwillingness to enforce the border in the face of his constituents the way he did early on. I wonder if he regrets it yet.

EAllusion believed around this time that the Trump lead in the polls would be like the Herman Cain moment in the Republican primary of 2012.

That's what I just said dumbass. And how does one "loose" a nomination? Did you learn that in med school?

EA and cinepro suggested the only reason Bush may not win the nomination would be because there were too many hats thrown in the ring. But Bush is only polling at 3-10%, consistently and distantly behind four others. He's pretty much at or near the bottom of the pack.

I've been saying it for years. No way in hell we ever elect another Bush.

I think Jeb! was looking at the bigger picture when setting his primary strategy. He knew he would have a hard time winning a national election without some support from Latinos. I don't think he saw the radical writing on the wall and lost his base.

Trump and Cruz have the same problem in the nationals. I don't believe either one has a chance.
