Yes. The basic English class at BYU that faqs would have taken at byu-h around the same time re-hashed grammar rules as does the advanced class everyone took. In fairness, I can't say I learned anything and I got low grades on most papers. Years ago on z, I visited the faqs archive of scholarship he linked to as evidence of his masterful scholarly abilities. I recall some PE paper, and the inner voice as I read it sounded like your typical dumb-ass freshman exploring banality for the first time. Definitely wasn't worse than the stuff I turned in.

It definitely proved he had the stuff to be semi- normal, but there's a problem. No one would appeal to the authority of themselves by linking to the dumb-ass PE papers they did in college. Whatever explains that behavior, explains the deterioration that years later becomes the origin story for the unhinged right-winger. It actually has nothing to do with right-wing ideals, believe it or not.

And even worse, get this: his behavior is rational. The long road back to near mediocrity ends in being ignored, whereas now he gets all the attention he feels he deserves based on his assessment of himself as a star.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.
