Most people who are elderly don't have autopsies. Ones that are very overweight with known conditions almost never do unless there is some sign of foul play or a legal question about the quality of their care (a recent surgery, etc.).

His door was locked from the inside and he was found in a restful state of repose. There was no sign of a struggle and no reason to think that anything nefarious took place.

The poor old guy just died in his sleep. Probably cardiac or stroke related.That's how I hope to go out.

This could be a cautionary tale for you, faqs. Given his age and weight, he may also have had sleep apnea problems.

No I agree.... It's likely all that happened.
I've mentioned my birth mother died in her sleep of congestive heart failure due to her weight and likely had sleep apnea also when she was 30 or 35 (forget now which).

I'm just saying given how things are, such a prominent person should have an autopsy as standard course.
