I will assume the Penguins failed to respond to the Russian Orthodox Patriarch because the Cyrillic alphabet was not included on the available translating stones. That is a shame since I suspect they would have many questions about caviar and the ending of the Dr. Zhivago movie.

Thanks for the video Ludwigm.

Don't penguins eat krill?

Only on crackers.

Speaking of Eastern Europe, Penguins have a thing for Hungarian goulash and cabbage soup.

Half truth.

Goulash? Yes.
Cabbage soup? Not a Hungarian type.

Instead, we have cabbage roll (töltött káposzta, literally filled cabbage):

and Szekely cabbage (székelykáposzta):

Cabbage soup is most popular in Polish, Slovak and Ukrainian cuisine. It is known as kapuśniak in Polish, kapustnica in Slovak and капусняк (kapusnyak) in Ukrainian. It is also found in Czech (Czech: zelňačka or zelná polévka), German (German: Kohlsuppe or Krautsuppe) and French (French: soupe aux choux) cuisine.

A variety of the soup called shchi (Russian: щи) is a national dish of Russia. Unlike the kapusniak, which must contain sauerkraut, shchi may use fresh cabbage, savoy cabbage, dock, spinach or nettle instead.

Do you ever put wasabi on those cabbage rolls?

I was merely guessing that being close to cabbage soup eating counties you might have your own version, sort of like our Texas version of Mexican food. Pictures of Hungarian food look very tasty.

Not, as far as I know.

My wife uses grape, horse-radish and kohlrabi leaves, not only cabbage.
