While I don't really like thinking about it much, I can't help but acknowledge the reality that Sanders likely won't win the nomination now (not that I've given up all hope; I will continue to support him till he drops out). What the hell will I do in November with a Trump/Clinton match-up?
It feels like I have two basic options:
- Write in Bernie
- Go nuclear and vote Trump
There's no way I can vote for Hillary in good conscience. I will not have that poor decision in my personal history (I realize all three options have their drawbacks, but to me, voting Hillary is the worst). I'm so disgusted by the DNC there is no way I can support them unless they choose Bernie. They need to be sent a signal that we know this Third Way crap is just GOP-lite. Besides, I've seen first hand how dishonest Hillary can be, the way she's manipulated what Bernie has said to accuse him of racism and sexism. Either she's a damned moron who doesn't understand English, or she's full of crap. And I'm sure she understands English just fine.
I'll probably end up writing in Bernie, but there's definitely a part of me that wants to “F” members of the DNC by voting for the GOP. Take that you stupid Democrats who can't be bothered to embrace the best candidate you have. That's right; I can be vindictive like that... although I'll likely calm down by November and just go with Bernie.
