Yay!

No problem! It was fun.

On the Easter grass, I would suggest Walmart. They usually have large bins of it at a reasonable price. Just mentioning.

A friend is sending sidewalk chalk, and that made me think of a few other possible things:

- Crayons
- Colored Pencils
- Coloring Books
- Sketch Pads
- Journal/Diary + Pen(s)

Yes, yes, yes!

I still sometimes go to the top of parking garages to blow bubbles off the side.

They sell 6 packs of bubbles at the Dollar Store! And multi-packs of puzzles.

Just got some new intel from the wife.

The shelter is dedicated to families that have any minor children. So we will be potentially making baskets for ages 2 all the way up to 17. They unfortunately won't be able to give us any type of definite count on numbers/gender/ages until almost the day we hand the baskets out, due to turnover.

Any surplus stuff we get that is perishable, we will hand out to any kids that show in our food line the following Monday, donate to the domestic abuse shelters (Safe Nest and Shade Tree), and/or give to Peggy's Attic (the donation hub for Clark County Family Services). Non-perishables will probably go to the same places, but we will likely store some of it for Christmas, next Easter, or for any familes we find that are in need that we find along the way (my wife keeps an eye on various Facebook groups for people who have fallen on temporary hard times).

We are almost set on decorative grass (a lot of co-workers raided Target, and Dollar Tree today).

Besides the 40-50 number range they gave us, there are also another 40-50-ish in transitional housing (I believe these are mostly from domestic abuse situations -- so, single mothers who they are helping to get into the workforce, etc.).

So, even though our goal was 40-50, I think we need to shoot for 100, to make sure the kids in the shelter, and transitional housing get something to brighten their Easter.
