Woodrow Wilson was not a member of the KKK as a boy. I'm not sure where he got that assertion.

He was an incredible racist who arguably did the most of any US political figure to stifle the civil rights movement at the turn of the century. That includes playing a major role in the rebirth of the KKK in its early 20th century incarnation.

Of course, this "Hahaha! Dems have a history of racism!" is neither surprising to anyone with even a cursory understanding of US history nor a relevant point to the complaint of the wave of racists bolstering the Trump campaign that Trump has a hard time distancing himself from. This only makes sense in the world where partisan affiliation is an unchanging team you root for. How about we agree to disavow the white supremacists no matter which party they happen to be in?
