Where I live, $345,000 will buy you a shack on a postage stamp. Atlanta is nice, but you have to live with the humidty.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Yes it is! I didn't check the sf, but I'd venture a guess that a home that size would go for twice that much in my part of the country.

I read a lot of people are getting into that. I'm into HGTV, too. Regardless, I hope you do well, the market in Atlanta is pretty solid.

Some months back when folks were discussing what television programs they watched, I said I don't watch television and recalled the one summer during the Casey Anthony story (not even the trial yet, the discovery of the body) and also got hooked on HGTV watching it pretty much nonstop all day long.
Well, guess what? I started watching HGTV again. Totally hooked in Fixer Upper!
As for flipping, I'm not sure I'd want to do that. Unless I had unlimited funds and could put my hands on the best subs. Then, yes, I'd love to flip houses just for the fun of it!

I had to look it up on an old listing.
Fix that, Kevin.
;-)
ETA: And later in the listing that I viewed it says the house is •House size: 2,457 sq ft.

Wow, to claim that Woodstock is a suburb of Atlanta is generous...Woodstock is suburb of Roswell or of Marietta....not that the infection of Atlanta hasn't reached out that far already.
In her 2006 book All Your Worth, co-authored with her daughter, Amelia, Warren lists as a top myth the idea that “you can make big money buying houses and flipping them quickly.” She has made a career out of telling people how to behave in financially responsible ways, and out of creating laws that will make it illegal for them to do otherwise.....
So, i wonder what "ethical" salve KG puts on his politics when he "flips" a house....essentially employing an out of scale measure for grade against actual work - like an executive at Goldman Sachs

No way Subgenius, Kevin is simply talking about building acrobatics. You sometimes get lucky when those southern house ceiling joists are double jointed.

Yeah, Kevin?
I still need that listing fixed to include the current square footage.
Thanks.

Re: Anyone thinking about moving to Atlanta?
Every listing generally says sq footage "above grade" which refers to dwelling area completely above ground. However houses with finished basements add more "below grade" footage and it is hard to get an exact measurement from these websites because they all vary for some reason.
There are 4 beds upstairs and two in the basement though technically we can only say 5 bedrooms because in order for it to be considered a bedroom it must have a window and a closet.
