See above idiot.... Safety is for the morally, intellectually and physically lazy.
If you want total safety.... then stop living. For every family member shot there's at least 5-10 times more crimes stopped because a gun was used in some form, shown, fired, or otherwise.
I'm sure the some Billions of innocents murdered by Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, and many others had "wished" they had a gun to defend themselves.
For every Construction death, there's hundreds of homes and buildings built.
For every Sports death, there's hundreds of games.
For every Knife death or finger cut off there's hundreds of safe uses.
