Yes, I agree that it occurred at a very inopportune time, but for someone in the White House to think that they were blunting the force of Hollande's speech by deleting those 15 seconds would be idiotic. Also knowing that everyone else would be translating makes the omission more transparent and pathetic.

Let me be clear: if this were an intentional omission it is to be condemned. But again, given the entire thrust of Hollande's speech, what did the deletion accomplish? If it was intentional, it was ineffective and counter-productive.

I suspect "Radical Islamic Terrorist" is the phrase preferred by recruiters . It is full of the suggestion of commitment to a righteous cause. Do you want to leave the compromises of weak Islam? Find radical commitment to Islam.
