[MODERATOR NOTE: Please tell us more about what's at the other end of the link so we can decide whether to click on it.

Thanks in advance.]

Mr Shades, after over a hundred clicks on the link, don't you get the sense folks can read for themselves? Besides, thought the link said everything more sussinctly than I could post about.

What really is your issue just out of curiosity?

DOCTOR Bach, you must be a proctologist. You seem to have your head up there a lot.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

And by the way, where are all these ladies here who ALWAYS speak out for the rights of women? Bad case of lock jaw going around I guess.

Over a hundred clicks on this thread, or over a hundred clicks on your link? There's a difference.

What really is your issue just out of curiosity?

My issue is that telling people what's on the other end of the link, why it's valuable, and what you hope they learn from it is a common courtesy to your readers so they can decide in advance whether it's worth their time to click and read.

And by the way, where are all these ladies here who ALWAYS speak out for the rights of women? Bad case of lock jaw going around I guess.

No, they probably assumed that since you didn't deem it worth explaining, they needn't deem it worth clicking.

I read it. It's basically about Air France female flight attendants being required to wear a head scarf on flights to Iran. Part of the lifting of sanctions? Don't know.

How do I feel about it? The article says the Union is urging the airline to make the flight assignment voluntary. If that were the case, I'm not sure it's a big deal since it's not being forced on anyone under that stipulation. But I'm also not one to get too concerned about work-related dress requirements and it's not easy for me to see this as a human rights violation so much as a job requirement. Male and female US military personnel in muslim countries have followed similar requirements based on the host country's cultural norms.

But I'm also not into recreational outrage, and view respecting cultural differences as just something one does when abroad, so I'm probably not the right person to ask about any of this.

I'm sure it will start a crap storm, but why are you asking for "ladies" to respond? And what's with the "ladies who ALWAYS speak out for the rights of women"? I get a little irritated.

Did you ask 'where are all the gays who ALWAYS speak out for the rights of gays' when we were discussing the Mormon policy change some months back?

Did you ask 'where are all the Bakers were who ALWAYS speak out for rights of Bakers' when we were discussing ldsfaq's insistence that legislature should not force the straight baking of gay cakes and bi-leaning cupcakes?? (if you missed that thread and need a laugh, check it out. The cake images are definitely NSFW, fair warning.)
