The Panama Papers could dwarf the Pentagon Papers

If the Pentagon Papers were a leak, this is a dam bursting. An unidentified employee of a prominent Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca has given a consortium of investigative reporters 2.6 TERABYTES worth of data:

  • 11.5 million documents
  • implicating 140 politicians, world leaders, in over 50 countries.
  • connected to offshore companies in 21 tax havens

And folks? All of this is coming from ONE law firm in ONE country. Yeah, it's probably the only bad law firm in the world.

It's a major news story. The wikileaks diplomatic cables leak more or less set off the Arab spring. Who knows what this will do.
