Bruce Springsteen has cancelled and threatens to cancel business in States that do not share the same beliefs he does. The Boss has, without argument, chosen to place morality above money (though a cynic may try to implant a marketing conspiracy here). Ok, so that is point number one...the Boss being applauded by many who otherwise condemn a business that would attempt to censor its customer base via some sort of moral position that simply is counter to their own (see also wedding cake bakers of note).
So, point 2....Does Bruce, and those who applaud his action, consider it acceptable to simply proclaim one's sexuality for entrance to the restroom of their choosing? Is a proclamation even necessary? Is a dress code necessary? Is an affidavit required?

Bruce Springsteen wrote:April 8, 2016 A statement from Bruce Springsteen on North Carolina
As you, my fans, know I’m scheduled to play in Greensboro, North Carolina this Sunday. As we also know, North Carolina has just passed HB2, which the media are referring to as the “bathroom” law. HB2 — known officially as the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act — dictates which bathrooms transgender people are permitted to use. Just as important, the law also attacks the rights of LGBT citizens to sue when their human rights are violated in the workplace. No other group of North Carolinians faces such a burden. To my mind, it’s an attempt by people who cannot stand the progress our country has made in recognizing the human rights of all of our citizens to overturn that progress. Right now, there are many groups, businesses, and individuals in North Carolina working to oppose and overcome these negative developments. Taking all of this into account, I feel that this is a time for me and the band to show solidarity for those freedom fighters. As a result, and with deepest apologies to our dedicated fans in Greensboro, we have canceled our show scheduled for Sunday, April 10th. Some things are more important than a rock show and this fight against prejudice and bigotry — which is happening as I write — is one of them. It is the strongest means I have for raising my voice in opposition to those who continue to push us backwards instead of forwards.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Sunday April 10th show is canceled. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

it is more appropriately called refusing to do business with people who do not agree with your beliefs...and therefore, also called ironic....or hypocritical....or shallow (you pick)
But i am sure that the 15k ticket purchasers have learned their lesson since it is probable that Springsteen's demographic would be in full support of this quasi-controversial legislation that he found so "intolerable".

It's not about refusing to do business with people who do not agree with your beliefs. That's what the new State law does.
It's about making a point of disagreeing with laws that promote discrimination. Laws that make a mockery of the separation of church and state.
No worries, though. It will be struck down soon enough. A silly waste of tax payer money to promote a silly point for political purposes.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

The 15K ticket purchasers are getting a full refund. I don't think Springsteen, who is worth approximately 300 million (or this Jersey Girl who appreciates his contributions to society) really gives a damn about what you think or spin.
But that's just a guess on my part.
