Jersey Girl:

In one of the comments under your Jersey Girl video link, there's a great little love letter:

New Jersey is my home and when I go to California or out of state people always ask "why is New Jersey so desirable?" there's only one answer. "It's magical to the people who have lived there their whole lives." even if I someday move out of state I'll never leave New Jersey, because to people from the rest of the US Jersey is just a place where they filmed the Soprano's and Jersey Shore but to me, to "The Boss" and to everyone who lived here their whole lives Jersey is not just a home, but a family and a way of life, we all can share similar stories of going down the shore and having magical summer loves down there under the boardwalk or at water works which is now breakwater beach last I checked. God bless New Jersey, from the accents to the attitude, I'll.never be ashamed of where I'm from.

Oh thanks!

One note:
we all can share similar stories of going down the shore

I never had to go down the shore. I lived there. ;-)

I just want you all to know, that's it's not okay to bring up the topic of Springsteen or the Shore when I've been snowed in for 4 days, because somewhere in my head I can hear the waves, smell the salt air, and I start obsessing over boardwalk pizza and Italian ice.

So stop torturing me!

Little known fact: You can fit an entire boardwalk pizza (or from a pizzeria as the case may be) into two Ziploc bags, freeze it, stuff it in your suitcase for the flight back and have it for dinner that evening. Ask me how I know.

Random Springsteen Fact:

11th Street Records in Las Vegas has sold more used vinyl copies of Born In The USA than any other album.

I've never been a fan of Springsteen, always thought he was vastly overrated... but this is pretty cool on his part. Good on him.

The Boss has, without argument, chosen to place morality above money (though a cynic may try to implant a marketing conspiracy here).
Ok, so that is point number one...the Boss being applauded by many who otherwise condemn a business that would attempt to censor its customer base via some sort of moral position that simply is counter to their own (see also wedding cake bakers of note).

So, point 2....Does Bruce, and those who applaud his action, consider it acceptable to simply proclaim one's sexuality for entrance to the restroom of their choosing? Is a proclamation even necessary? Is a dress code necessary? Is an affidavit required?

You have yet to demonstrate how Point 1 is related to Point 2.

We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

I know! Everyone just mind their business while using the restroom.

I'm proud of all the businesses and individuals who have come out against this ridiculous law and others like it.

I'm willing to bet that most of us have been using a unisex bathroom all our lives... the one's in our own home.

And I'm willing to bet nearly everyone has used a bathroom marked for the opposite sex at least once in their life. Probably more.

The world did not end.

He's not my favorite rocker. He's definitely one of my favorite Jersey Boys. He doesn't forget where he comes from and he has East Coast heart coming out of his eyeballs.

There are other celebrities that are refusing to perform in NC. Springsteen, Starr, Pearl Jam, and Boston among them.
