Why is it unfair, to portray his absence from the inauguration as racist. If any republicans would have boycotted Obama's inauguration does anyone here believe they wouldn't have been accused of racism?
It's a shame this man had to hide his coward ass behind the MLK cover for his racists beliefs.

I'm not sure John Lewis understands what the word legitimate means. Trump was legally elected President. Yet he somehow thinks he's not the legitimate president.

His argument is Russian interference in the election and as yet to be revealed information about/from Comey that seemed to royally piss off Democrats delegitimatizes Trump's victory. You may disagree, but he is using the term correctly. If you accept the premise that the election was compromised by a hostile foreign actor, then it would follow that it was not a free and fair election and therefore the results would not be legitimate.
