That's what I don't get. Obviously Obama would have had bigger crowds; his first election was absolutely historic. Anyone who saw the headline about Trump having smaller crowds probably shrugged like I did.
But Trump had to get fixated on this meaningless footnote and now it's a colossal disaster. If he tries to get into a pissing match with the memory of Obama, he's going to lose every time.

Bush also had bigger crowds than Trump. The crowd size isn't the issue. It is the fact that our new President is willing to lie about some of the dumbest crap and then attack the media for not agreeing with him.

You wanna know who cares? It is Trump himself. For the same reason his hands are NOT little lol commensurate with his family jewels, and the size of his gargantuan ego.
Why Trump would focus on the crowd size is indicative of his mindset, and where his priorities lie. Hint: Not in being Commander-in-Chief, but still running for office.
He's all about Trump. Trump must always come first, be first, winner takes all mentality. That is outright scary given his position as President.

I am reminded of Obama's recent call for some sort of truth clearinghouse, which is more akin to Newsspeek than anything Trump is doing.
It is called a free and independent press. FUX NEWS doesn't qualify.
It's also called logic and reason. It's scary that Trump supporters have been so completely gaslighted by Trump that they have lost the ability to determine fact from fiction. It's not like he's disagreeing with the press about complex policy positions. No, he's choosing the wrong answer on a math test for second graders: "Question 1. Compare these 2 photos. Which one has more people in it?" It's bad enough that he gets that question wrong, but he then orders his press secretary to publicly declare that his answer is actually correct. And when nobody buys that, he sends out his spokesperson to declare a new thing called "alternative facts". And this is only 3 days into his presidency. I can't wait to see what SNL does with this.

Rumor has it that even Fox News has begun to criticize the White House position on inauguration crowd numbers ...
Can this be true?

Psssssst.
Chap, I don't know if it will be this year but I suspect there is an Ides of March in the cards for Caesar. The support is not monolithic and a Pence presidency would be very comfortable for Congress. We won't call it a coup.

If they're afraid to call it what it is, does that make it a chicken coup?
I realize this joke is extra lame because it only works (barely) written down, not said out loud. Please refer your complaints to the Some Schmo Joke Complaint Department on the 13th floor.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
