LOL so predictable. Erick Erickson babbles about this crap on the radio a few days ago, and like clockwork, here come the internet trolls regurgitating it.

Charlie has a rare genetic condition that is incompatible with life. Medicine has yet to come up with a solution for his condition. It doesn't matter where he lives.

I was talking about the particulars provided by Chap's post, which you clearly neither knew about nor cared about, in your eagerness to find an excuse to unjustly fault and belittle the British healthcare system, British government and courts and liberals in general. It is hilarious that once again you have no clue about how much egg you have on your face!
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Chap wrote:Gunnar wrote:He jumped to the snap, ill-informed judgment that the only plausible reason that the British government was reluctant to approve sending Charlie Gard to the U.S.A. for the experimental treatment was their supposedly evil, liberal, and incompetent public healthcare system ...
And of course the decision made in this case (by three layers of UK judges, all the way up to the Supreme Court) has nothing to do with the UK's arrangements for paying for health care. The result would have been the same even if this child's parents were paying for private health care for him. Money was not a factor in the decision: it was simply a question of the court being asked whether the very remote possibility of a small prolongation of what is almost certainly a very uncomfortable existence outweighed the certainty of further suffering for this unfortunate little person.
And given the highly specialist care he has needed, it is likely that they would still have sent him to Great Ormond Street in any case, since it provides paediatric services unmatched by any private clinic.
All of which subby cares not one whit about -- only about trying desperately to find any excuse he can to cast public healthcare systems, liberals and progressives in a bad light.

Interestingly Republicans are demanding Democrats come up with a way to pay for health care.

You obviously didn't read the link. For nearly 8 years Republicans have demanded Repeal and Replace of the ACA. Now that they control all three branches of government. They want the Democrats help to save them.

That is not, in fact, what the RNC tweeted, again you are confused and assume true the interpretations of the tweetheads who are providing mocking responses to the tweet ...perhaps you are experiencing early onset of dementia?

I don't know a lot about the Charlie Gard case, but what, exactly, were you expecting the US Healthcare system to do for him?
Here's the explanation from the hospital about why they aren't supporting the baby's relocation:
Why is there no treatment available at Great Ormond Street Hospital ?
There is no cure for Charlie’s condition which is terminal. GOSH explored various treatment options, including nucleoside therapy, the experimental treatment that one hospital in the US has agreed to offer now that the parents have the funds to cover the cost of such treatment. GOSH concluded that the experimental treatment, which is not designed to be curative, would not improve Charlie’s quality of life.
How did GOSH come to this decision about his treatment?
GOSH’s clinicians had to balance whether this experimental treatment was in his best interests or not.
One of the factors that influenced this decision was that Charlie’s brain was shown to be extensively damaged at a cellular level. The clinician in the US who is offering the treatment agrees that the experimental treatment will not reverse the brain damage that has already occurred.
The entire highly experienced UK team, all those who provided second opinions and the consultant instructed by the parents all agreed that further treatment would be futile – meaning it would be pointless or of no effective benefit.1
