I think it is because they have for many, many years now, been indoctrinated to literally hate the left so much that they're willing to keep suffering with an idiot of their own if it means they're somehow sticking it to the left. So I disagree with this article saying they genuinely believe it is moral to elect someone like Trump. No they don't. These people are deplorable people for the most part. Just look at them when they congregate, read the signs they hold or the writing on their shirts.

Again, their pride gets in the way because they have for many, many years been attacking the ACA in blind ignorance.
What I see coming from Trump supporters is not morals or rationality. It is fear, hatred and bigotry. That is a recipe for disaster but also a great way to make people suck it up and take a hit for the team.
Incidentally, my "Christian Conservative" mother posted another idiotic meme about Obama being a Muslim just two days ago, and it was welcomed by a few dozen old white posters who said things like, "We should execute all Muslims now in America." I crap you not. And she clicked "like." This isn't about morality, it is about fear and hatred. These people for all their talk about Liberals being sensitive snowflakes, are the most triggered and frightened people on the planet.
