The first one surprises me a little more. After watching The Apprentice as a guilty pleasure I knew Donald Trump was a huge narcissistic douchebag, and that's what made the show so entertaining. What I didn't know until this election cycle was how easily he lies and deceives. Just blatant, easily fact checked lies. He has absolutely zero credibility. He' a total con artist. It boggles the mind how he can look people in the face, tell a bald faced lie without blinking, have them fall for it, get called out on it by everyone else, and then continue doing it over and over again to the same people with complete confidence that they'll fall for it every time. That's some world class con-artistry. I'm not that surprised that some people fall for it. We are on a site about Mormonism, and we are all completely aware of how people continue to trust con-men even after being shown the evidence of the con. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a con-man like Trump understands this type of human behavior.
