Ah, a point...i need a point among the pointless

I suppose one point could be - That in 1996 there was evidence, actual evidence, and it amounted to no real consequence - and all this has yet to be mentioned by any of the butt-hurt hysterics being thrown like monkey poo around here...and also the point about how what is going on, er or not going, with Trump/Russia is not really at all related to Nixon/Watergate, but is more akin to AsiaGate.

appples and oranges really....a college freshman could discern this glaring reality.

Just wondering why in the spirit of the hysteria-du jour of "campaign finance", this little memento from 1996 has not been noted....but i think we all know that it is because most posters here - ehem KG - have little knowledge about current events and even less knowledge about our nation's history. Not surprising that Smith and Wallace are calling out Trump. They're a couple of the few Fox pundits who refused to drink the Tump kool-aid from day one. But now Charles Krauthammer has joined them. Krauthammer was been a big Trump defender until now.

Not surprising that Smith and Wallace are calling out Trump. They're a couple of the few Fox pundits who refused to drink the Tump kool-aid from day one. But now Charles Krauthammer has joined them. Krauthammer was been a big Trump defender until now.

I agree on Smith and Wallace. They've been the two sane voices over there.

But I wonder if others in Fox World are starting to realize that the conservatism they've known for years no longer exists within the party, so they aren't going to get the legislation they want with this guy.

If Fox News turns on Drumpf, we should see a light at the end of the tunnel. Not holding my breath yet, but a few more voices of dissent sure would be nice. The lemmings need to hear it from Fox before they'll turn.

Yeah, I saw it posted somewhere that FoxNews is the canary in the coal mine when it comes to Trump. It's pretty sad that a single news network has that much control over such a large percentage of the population.

So if I am following today's sequence of news breaks it goes like this:

1) There was a another Russian representative in the meeting with Trump Jr., Manafort, and Kushner. It likely was Rinat Akhmetshin.

2) It definitely was Rinat Akhmetshin. He is a Russian-American lobbyist for Russian interests.

3) The interests Rinat Akhmetshin lobbies for is ending US sanctions on Russia. Also, he is a former intelligence officer suspected of still being involved with Russian intelligence.

4) Rinat Akhmetshin is implicated in international hacking efforts on the part of Russia.

5) At least 2 other undisclosed people were at this meeting as well, though their identities are unknown.

(Also, Rinat Akhmetshin claims to have left documents with the Trump team at the meeting, but grain of salt with that.)
