Given how forth coming Trump & Co. have been about these meetings and communications in the past I'm sure we can take this at face value:

Trump Jr. was asked about the WikiLeaks email Wednesday when he was questioned in the House Intelligence Committee behind closed doors, several sources familiar with the exchange told CNN. Trump Jr.'s attorney, Alan Futerfas, told CNN that his client said he had no recollection of the email and took no action on it. The White House did not respond to requests for comment, and efforts to reach WikiLeaks for comment were unsuccessful.

She did not admit the yearbook is a forgery as every right wing site is apparently running with. She said she added the date and location on the bottom after his inscription.

For anyone curious, she admitted that she had added "12-22-77 Olde Hickory House" underneath the inscription.

Obviously, this helps discredit the entry in its entirety... or something.

The irony here is palpable. You're trying to prove how trustworthy Brietbart is and how dishonest the mainstream media is because Brietbart is supposedly reporting on real news that the rest of the world is ignoring. But in reality the rest of the world isn't reporting this because it isn't true.

The Washington Post is contradicing the CNN report on the second story by dating the email to 9/14 instead of 9/4. That's a notable difference since the public release was 9/13. Have to wait and see how that detail shakes out.

It looks like the Washington Post is going to come out right on this one (put another one on the scoreboard for them, if you aren't subscribed yet you probably should be). Unfortunately this gives all the Trump supporters even more reason to ignore anything CNN reports on. I suspect more than just CNN will get caught in the "fake news" counter as well
