You might want to fix that headline to something like "Trump watches up to 8 hours of TV news every day, much of which is Fox."

It's still an amazing amount of TV for a guy that says he has no time for TV. And having the TV on during meeting?

It sounds about as bad as I would have expected.

President Donald Trump, who just last month said he’s too busy “reading documents” to watch much television, spends up to 8 hours in front of the TV each day, according to a new report.

White House aides tell The New York Times that Trump watches at least 4 hours, and sometimes up to twice that much, per day — part of what the publication describes as “an hour-by-hour battle for self-preservation.”

“Around 5:30 each morning, President Trump wakes and tunes into the television in the White House’s master bedroom,” the Times reports. “He flips to CNN for news, moves to ‘Fox & Friends’ for comfort and messaging ideas, and sometimes watches MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ because, friends suspect, it fires him up for the day.”

Television serves as the “ammunition” for his outbursts on Twitter, according to the Times. No one is allowed to touch the remote except him and technical staff. And if he misses an important segment, he watches it later on what he calls his “Super TiVo.”

There’s a 60-inch TV in the White House dining room that Trump keeps an eye on during meetings, according to the NYT. He enjoys Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham, and occasionally “hate-watches” CNN’s Don Lemon.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One during his trip to Asia last month, Trump dismissed the idea that he has time for the tube. The reason: documents.

“Believe it or not, even when I’m in Washington or New York, I do not watch much television,” Trump said. “I know they like to say that. People that don’t know me, they like to say I watch television — people with fake sources. You know, fake reporters, fake sources.”

He added: “But I don’t get to watch much television. Primarily because of documents. I’m reading documents. A lot. And different things. I actually read much more — I read you people much more than I watch television.”

I figured Doc or someone would say something like this, but I'm convinced he mostly watches FOX. He's been known to quote them literally minutes after they said something, and he's done this several times on Twitter, morning, afternoon, night. He's like so many old white men in America who are enamored with the Right Wing entertainment network. It is his source for truth on all things.

I think this a lot of this goes to his style of thinking, which does not involve a lot of reading. Obviously the other aspect is his narcissism and obsession about what people are saying about him.

I've said before that I think Trump lives in the 'transactional now' His thinking tends to be tactical rather than strategic. Penny-wise and pound-foolish, if you will.

If you knew someone would point out that your headline was inaccurate, why not take a couple seconds and type an accurate one. Otherwise, you're just Breitbart.

by the way, it's still not right. The article says 4-8 hours daily. That's a big difference. And you don't have to guess at what he watches -- the article tells you.

Pretty please?

He live tweets Fox and Friends a shockingly large % of days. That already seemed like a lot of sketchy TV for the president of the US to be watching.

Uh, comparing some guy on the internet (moi) to a news org that influences the President. Seriously?

by the way, it's still not right. The article says 4-8 hours daily. That's a big difference. And you don't have to guess at what he watches -- the article tells you.

Excuse me, but unless you can pass Res Ipsa's standard of journalistic integrity and document all of his live tweets with exact timelines, divide the sum into a 24 hour period to determine it is truly a "large %", then you're just being Brietbart.
