Class Warfare may end with Decisive Outcome
The Republican are full bore into their class war with the poor and there are indications that in 2018 the battle will be over and the victory nearly decisive.
What is at stake for the Republicans is the ability to save a bundle on their golden shekels that have been going to so-called "entitlement" programs.
What is at stake for the poor is the means to survive. For the disabled and elderly who rely on these entitlements to keep a roof over their head and food in their belly, this will be a fatal loss. They will not be able to fend for themselves and survive like the new legion of street urchins will hopefully be able to do.
Wish the generation of Baby Boomers could have passed out of memory before the brunt of the new Republican task cuts could fatally wound them, but they would have too many years left. After the Republican giddiness of achieving their dream tax cut wears off, the Republicans will have Medicaid, Foodstamps, and public education to eliminate in 2018.
By 2020, the Republicans will have gotten rid of millions of "useless eaters" thereby fulfilling their Contract on America. All that will remain, before they erect statues of themselves for winning the class war on the poor, will be the termination of Social Security and Medicare.
The Party can report to the Koch Brothers that their mission has been completed and that they eagerly await further orders. The Koch Brothers will be gleeful as they romp through the piles of their newly hoarded gold shekels.

Yup. If Moksha post like this, something serious is happening.
I am glad that I am not poor in America, for I would feel scared.
I am glad I am not rich in America, for then I think I might begin to feel bad about having a government that seemed to think the most important thing it could do was to make me richer.
(Instead I am quite comfortable elsewhere, thank you, and happy to pay the taxes I do.)

Are you allowed to pay taxes if you want in Great Britain? Moksha are you planning to pay more taxes given the life or death nature of the situation?

Do you over-pay taxes?

The Republicans are not going to be able to go after "entitlements" next year in 2018 with them recently having lost a Senate seat.

Do you?
On the one hand, you pay 10% of your income to an entity that gives you, in return, several handfuls of Books of Mormon - provided that you're willing to hand them out to your neighbors - along with exclusive rights to clean the bathrooms in the sacrament building.
Compare and contrast to what you get from whatever you pay in taxes to the Ebil Gub'mint.

Hannity was right about the establishment GOP back in 2012 when Republicans wouldn't hold the line on tax hikes. They said they couldn't go after entitlements until they had both houses of congress, then they said they needed the presidency. Now they have all that and still can't get it done. I don't think a lot of Republicans really want less government welfare spending.
