Millions Of Kids Might Lose Health Care Because Congress Dropped The BallParents are scared, state officials are scrambling and Congress is about to go on vacation.
I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. Virtually everything the GOP does negatively affects the poor. Even what they DON'T do, as is the case here.
Children, thousands of them, may die because of their inaction. But that's all cool because the important thing to remember here is that the uber wealthy in this country just got a huge windfall at the expense of the Middle-Class/Poor.

Why not go back to work and donate your salary to the IRS?

Can you, and will Huffpo, please keep this board updated on the weekly counts of those who lose their life. This is the type of mass tragedy that, while never was an issue nor happened before Obamacare, seems only now to be a concern of the liberal left.
Please keep us up to date since you are here 24/7 anyway. Thanks

There are only two reasons to vote GOP: You're rich, or you're incredibly damned stupid.
And we know which of those two applies to the Republican posters around here.

The GOP is behaving like a caricature of Ebenenezer Scrooge. Less for the government is more for them, children be damned.

They are behaving in the exact way people have been criticizing them for for years. The rich have nice smelling asses to kiss, while the poor are an inconvenient burden.
They don't love America. They love their own power and the handful of families who donate to their ultimately destructive political campaigns. They are treasonous tyrants.

FYI,
KG won't provide a response that requires facts, reasoning, or anything that doesn't involve a lin/run flame post from which one can ignite a proper hair fire.
Liberals cannot function without fear and threats of having to be employed.

Just want to get an update on this ongoing tragedy today:
Kevin, how many deaths since yesterday? With 2 million deaths expected surely something has been reported as attributable to the GOP since yesterday. Couldn’t find any update on Huffpo but knew you were the one with the real pulse on this issue.
Please, bring us current. Thanks

The game here is that that the connection between not having access to health care and being more likely to die is unmistakable across a large population but hard to attribute to specific cases. It's inevitable that some kid is going to get cancer that is going to go to a later, harder to treat stage that will result in his or her death that could have been effectively treated if they had health care and were receiving more routine care to catch it at an earlier stage. But that's not going to happen in a single day nor is it something that is going to make an easily linked national story (at least not right away). Instead, the right response is to point out the obvious - like blindly obvious - connection between health care access and health outcomes.
Kevin, nor anyone actually, is arguing that CHIP expiring for millions of children means all of those children are going to die. It does mean, regardless of your opinions of this happening, that children will start to suffer poorer health outcomes in aggregate with a likely increased incidence of early mortality the longer the coverage gap lasts.
Responsible conservatism used to mean contending with reality and being willing to make hard choices involving undesirable consequences. That was indeed replaced with bald-faced lying and abject denial of reality. Regardless of whether you are parodying that or sincerely expressing it in the form of a very stupid troll, your character here rings true in that respect.
