https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/scientists-can-now-blame-individual-natural-disasters-on-climate-change/Scientists can reap rewards from successful huge class action lawsuits too, you know. "Follow the money".
This needed fixing (near the end of the article; actually much of it needs fixing, but I picked this one):
"Every time we have a high-impact, catastrophic, perhaps extreme event happening, people are invariably asking the question, 'Is this [an opportunity to sue The Mega Huge Oil Corporation]?'"

For what it's worth to others reading, here was the actual quote:
"Every time we have a high-impact, catastrophic, perhaps extreme event happening, people are invariably asking the question, 'Is this climate change?'" Christidis said.

Only scanned the article so if this was covered, ignore my comment.
Legal experts suggest that attribution studies could play a major role in lawsuits brought by citizens against companies, industries or even governments.
There is currently a lawsuit already coming up through the courts filed by a group of youth who are suing the US Government and President.

There are fewer things tougher on the old irony meter than hearing the phrase “follow the money” applied to scientists instead of the fossil fuel industry. Must be really cold in the U.S. this week, as the deniers are feeling their oats.

your mixed metaphor fail is so appropriate to the cited article, whereas a convoluted collage of seemingly meaningful facts magically combine to seemingly make a fact greater than the sum...all the while just being plain absurd.

What are you stating specifically as junk science and how would you know it is wrong?

The article discussed suits for money damages. The suit you refer to is for injunctive relief.
The fossil fuel industry imposes huge costs from CO2 emissions that are not accounted for in the price of the fuels. We can properly allocate those costs through regulation or lawsuit. Or we can just let the victims of climate change continue to subsidize fossil fuel companies.

This is what cracks me up every time. I have to laugh to prevent myself from going insane over this level of non-sense.
Apparently, we all know how much more scientists are money grubbers compared to the kind-hearted souls controlling the fossil-fuel industry.
Now I have to go rest my eyes from the cramp I suffered rolling them.
