The Mueller Investigation

Post by _aussieguy55 »

Now do Americans finally believe the Russians interfered in the US 1916 election. It has been described as a digital 9/11. Why hasn't Trump signed off on the Russian Sanctions.? Perhaps the US should use the paper type of vote we have in Australia. I got to the voting place I ask an officer who I provide my name. They cross my name off and hand me a voting slip.Cannot hack that system.

Of those 13 charged no one should travel to a country where the US has an extradition treat with.

I heard about this earlier today and had to flip over to FOX to see how they were handling it, and as expected they had an "expert" on saying that this pretty much vindicates Trump, who can now breath a sigh of relief because the "unwitting" comment proves no collusion. The blonde host was all smiles, trying so hard to refrain from high-fiving the guy, exclaimed, "So is this it? Are we done with the collusion fiasco?"

Given that Trump's preferred information source is Fox News, this is a good thing if you want Trump to not risk crippling the investigation. The more he gets the message that he (or Ivanka) is not personally threatened by the investigation, the better.

I am shocked. Totally shocked. I mean, Vladimir Putin assured Trump personally that there was no interference. How is it possible that Vladimir Putin did not tell the truth? Shocking, truly shocking. But it turns out the 400 pound fat guy sitting on the edge of his bed was a Russian. And the 340 pound man eating cheeseburgers in bed was totally taken in.

Forget Donald Trump, forget Hillary Clinton. This is the Russian government's concerted effort to influence the American election. I don't care what your party is, that has to concern you. Do we fight back? Right now our President is sitting on the sanctions he could put in place against Russia, the same President who encouraged the Russians to release information hacked from his opposition in the election. Even now, his first thought is "no collusion" rather than "Holy crap, these guys are serious. We must mount a counter-offensive!" The first thought of our President is not to defend his country. It is to save his own ass.

Some thoughts about the timing of all of this. By putting out indictments against Russians, Mueller takes the investigation back to the root cause: that Russian interference in our elections is a crime. Mueller has virtually zero chance of landing any of these people in court. The important thing he has done has shown that a crime did take place against the United States. This makes it a lot harder for Trump to go after Rosenstein or Mueller. He has also laid the groundwork to tie possible American aiders and abettors with a serious crime against the United States. So the order of the indictments is important. He has laid down a brick that Trump cannot move.

This year reminds me of the Chinese curse: May you live in interesting times.

God help me, but the times are interesting. Happy Year of the Dog, everyone.

The Russians did not interfere with the 1916 US Presidential election. That was the election when President Woodrow Wilson won re-election over Republican Supreme Court Justice Charles Hughes.

Maybe the OP was referring to the 2016 US Presidential election. The Russian Government did end up interfering in that election.

On January 6, 2017, the United States government's intelligence agencies concluded that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 United States elections.[8][9][10]

Here's where the White House is with respect to Russian meddling in the election:

"This makes it clear and concise for the American people and proves the President correct. No collusion between Donald Trump, his campaign and Russia," Deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley said on Fox News on Saturday.

"I think this is important too, it did not affect the outcome the election whatsoever," Gidley added. "What the Russians were trying to do as outlined by Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein was create chaos in the American election system. And I'll just say this: There are two groups that have created chaos more than the Russians, and that's the Democrats and the mainstream media, who continue to push this lie on the American people for more than a year."

So the representative of the President of the United States is trying to deflect attention away from the Mueller Indictment of Russian infowars against the United States by claiming Democrats and mainstream media are worse.

Can anyone possibly give me a logical explanation why, when presented with detailed evidence of a Russian attempt to degrade our Democracy with a concerted program of 21st Century internet warfare, the White House feels it is appropriate to change the subject?

yet still no proof or evidence of Trump collusion...and exactly what was the goal with this interference? to get a desired election result?
or just start a bunch of hair fires and watch liberals burn the essence of our democracy from the inside out?

How many more women are we going to find that Trump 'colluded' with? Trump admires one of his staff (porter) who has been shown to be a wife beater. Women who not make this up.Trump excuses it or accepts that they were lying. I am sure Stormy Daniels can identify Trump's junk. In the New Yorker article Trump was quoted about some comment about the size of a black man's penis.
