Idle thoughts about Executive Priveledge

I can't believe anyone is buying that executive privilege exists for any conversation that occured before Donald Trump took the oath of office.

One thing I was wondering is how he could claim any privilege for a conversation that occured before the electoral college met. One thing Trump is very insistent upon is that the popular vote means nothing, so technically Election night is not even when Donald Trump became President-elect. The earliest day he can be considered President-elect is December 19, when the electors meet. Even then, there is a ratification process.

Thoughts?

While the issue of EP is a muddy legal one, it must be noted that it is specific to within the 3 branches of government...so EP being a means to resist a subpoena from either of the other 2 branches. At which case the material for the subpoena to the Exec branch must surely be assumed as "Presidential" and therefore EP could be asserted. But note that EP is not a power via Article 2, but rather some sort of malleable notion from Supreme Court (even though Justice Kennedy would proclaim it a "power" during Bush years)...it is not an iron-clad defense.

Republicans' relationship to Drumpf reminds me of the drunken criminal uncle in the family for whom everyone is constantly making excuses, attempting to hide his behavior from outsiders.

That is, those Republicans with a shred of awareness. There's no doubt many of them are dumb enough to think he's great and believe his BS.

The Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote need to team up and paint a picture of the Donald Trump Memorial Highway on a big rock. Being a fake road, Trump is bound to take it.
